What is SpiritualEyes?
SpiritualEyes LLC is officially launched and I am beyond excited. I spent the past several years thinking and planning and designing and reading and daydreaming… But I can only do that so long.
I’ve been a spiritual seeker my entire life. The more I looked for answers, the more the compass needle pointed back towards me. Whatever I hoped for, I would have to become. Whatever I wished for, I would need to be.
SpiritualEyes is my love letter to the world - my answer to every burning question I ever asked. Why now? I finally figured out that it doesn't have to be perfect!
As long as one person finds some relief in something they read here, I’ll be successful. I do this to honor what I realized in my own spiritual awakening:
-
We are never alone.
-
We all have a built-in connection to the Universe | Spirit | God | All that Is.
It's amazing what we can learn when we nurture that connection. I’ll share what I have learned/am learning and provide a platform for you to explore this for yourself.
SpiritualEyes LLC exists to help others see wholeness and healing everywhere. We exist to alleviate suffering spiritually and mentally, as all things flow from the heart and mind.
How? By realizing that we have more in our toolbox that most realize. Our physical eyes help us see and navigate this 3D world. Our SpiritualEyes help us perceive beyond ourselves and see or understand with our intuition instead.
The Third Eye and Intuition
A central theme of SpiritualEyes is “seeing” with our “eyes.” I am certainly not the first to refer to the seat of intuition as “eyes.” You may have heard about the concept of the "third eye.”
In spirituality and metaphysics, the third eye is the source of human intuition. As I researched the third eye, I learned the ancient Egyptians believed in the “Eye of Horus” and associated it with healing, protection, and insight.
The intricate details of the Eye of Horus seem to represent the pineal gland (aka third eye) and how it helps us expand our perception and spiritual awareness, as explained in this academic journal. Through my personal spiritual explorations, I understood that we may not necessarily see in a literal sense with the third eye. Instead, we perceive with the third eye to understand in a deeper sense.
Connection between Physical and Spiritual Sight
I found this fascinating! I had to know more. So I researched the pineal gland, a physical part of the brain that I could find some scientific explanation for. Studies show that the pineal gland contains photoreceptor cells that share similarities with our retinal photoreceptors. How incredible!
Although the pineal gland is in the middle of the brain, it has photoreceptor cells that are classified as rod-like and cone-like, similar to those we have in our eyes, according to these researchers:
“The photoreceptor cells in the pineal gland detect light to regulate our sleep-wake cycles and melatonin production.”
I learned from my research that these cells suggest an evolutionary link to the eyes and the perception of light.
Human eyes have rods and cones that make it possible for us to visually see light, color, and motion in different lighting conditions. To me, this was a beautiful metaphor: we can see with our eyes and perceive with our SpiritualEyes!
Exploring the Cosmos: A Spiritual Perspective
Another theme of SpiritualEyes is the overwhelming beauty and expanse of space. I personally find the study of the cosmos and quantum physics fascinating. The more we study our possible origins and the nature of reality in physics, the more we see that reality is much more than the physical we see everyday.
In fact, according to the multiverse theory, there are an infinite number of events, worlds, and even timelines happening all around us! As humans in a 3D plane, on Earth today, we cannot imagine this, let alone actually see or experience this.
But it does not mean that it is not happening! To me, it's a real life example of the expanse of reality and our potential connection to All That Is. I’ve come to learn that reality is layered in a way that our physical eyes would not be able to detect.
I personally find the cosmos just beautiful. One of my favorite pastimes is to look at pictures of nebulae - giant space clouds of gas and dust.
It is like looking at the clouds in the sky. But instead of blue skies in the background, I see deep purple, blue, and black in a sea of stars as the background. Instead of fluffy white clouds, I see orange, purple, multi-colored space clouds.
And just like clouds in the sky, you can see shapes in nebulae. So you can imagine my utter joy when I learned about Helix Nebula ( A.K.A. NGC 7293). This particular nebula - the Helix Nebula - is a bright planetary nebula in the constellation Aquarius, roughly 650 light-years from Earth - read more about it from Constellation Guide here.
It is visible from Earth with binoculars under dark skies and also called the “Eye of God.” Perhaps this nebula represents God watching us from afar. But I believe it is us watching ourselves from afar, the way scientists are "clumps of atoms watching and studying… atoms."
Defining Key Concepts
We’ve discussed SpiritualEyes’ themes; now I’d like to summarize and define some key concepts for you.
SpiritualEyes is a noun. Everyone has them. They are not physical eyes that see light, but the vision you gain when you tap into your intuition.
We interpret intuition as a skill you gain by connecting to your Higher Self. You’re on a higher plane when you use your SpiritualEyes, seeing beyond the physical world.
Spiritualize is a verb. We can spiritualize life by recognizing that the higher plane of peace, love, and wholeness is ALWAYS available to us. Now that you can access your SpiritualEyes, what can you perceive? What will you realize?
It takes time, courage, and self-reflection to connect to your higher self. Spiritualizing is learning from what we perceive with our third eye, and how those lessons change what we think and what we do.
Conclusion
If you’ve made it this far in this article, I’m impressed! Thank you very much for your time and consideration!
I invite you to visit the SpiritualEyes blog to read new articles published weekly. I’ll explore spiritual concepts and how I’ve applied them in my own life to heal myself. As you read the blog and leave comments, let’s commit to being loving to ourselves and others, as we all know we are here seeking healing.
We have so much distracting us, pulling our attention in a million directions. It takes intention and quiet to hear the soul and perceive with our third eye. You can seek shelter here.
My intention is to share what I’ve learned in my personal spiritual journey, through my years of researching concepts around spirituality, science, and mysticism to provide a sanctuary for others. SpiritualEyes exists to alleviate suffering spiritually and mentally. We exist to help others see wholeness and healing everywhere.
